Learn Photography
Wildlife Photography Equipment, Settings & Techniques
I started teaching photography more than 15 years ago, while I still had a full time job in London; I ran “London Photo Tours” through which I would take individuals or small groups to some of the city’s most photogenic spots and help them get the most out of their cameras. Eventually I planned to start running international nature photography workshops and so I wanted to gain experience in teaching photography and helping photographers of varying standards.
I became a fulltime wildlife photographer in May 2010. I soon found various ventures vying for my time including my own photography projects, developing web businesses and Camtraptions. I simply didn’t have time to set-up a full-blown photo safari business. I did, however, want to keep teaching photography.
I launched WildlifePhoto.com in 2014 as resource through which I could share knowledge and nurture a community of photographers. Since then, through a free ebook and email course, I have taught the principles of wildlife photography to tens of thousands of people around the world. I also offer a premium membership tier, which grants access to several detailed ebooks covering equipment for wildlife photography as well as camera settings and creative techniques. I enjoy teaching face-to-face and introducing people to my favourite wild places and so I try to run one or two photo safaris each year in countries such as Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana. Find out more about upcoming workshops on my safaris page.
